Every year, Ozel Ege students attend the National Secondary School Research Project Contest organized by TÜBİTAK to encourage high school students to conduct studies in basic, social and applied science fields, direct their studies, and contribute to the development of their current scientific studies. Among 30 projects submitted, 21 of them succeeded in being invited to the İzmir Regional Exhibition this year.  With this, Ozel Ege Lisesi has achieved the best result in school history. All 14 projects explicitly submitted in mathematics, physics, chemistry, and biology were invited. Besides, Ozel Ege students have done projects in geography, values education, coding, sociology, history, and technological design. Our students have won 4 gold, 8 silver, 10 bronze medals, and 3 incentive awards throughout the country and participated in the country finals/exhibitions 24 times.

Every year, our 10th, 11th and 12th grade students participate in the “Harvard GlobalWE Women Empowerment Essay Contest” organised by Harvard University Alumni Association (Harvard GlobalWE). They prepare articles on the biggest challenge facing women and girls in our country today and think critically about the status and rights of women. As the winners our students are included in the network of the other winners. They also receive recognition on the website, the GlobalWE Book Award, and the opportunity to have their essays published online. The 2021 winners haven’t been announced yet.

Ozel Ege Lisesi middle school and high school students achieved the highest score and won first place worldwide in the Atlantic-Pacific Mathematics League Contest, which is a series of six contests given monthly from November to April involves 1 one exam per month.

Ozel Ege Lisesi students attend the chemistry exam named Avogadro Exam of Waterloo University every year, which is conducted online. However, no data available for 2020 and 2021 since the exam was canceled due to COVID 19.

Every year Ozel Ege students take the physics exam named Sir Isaac Newton Exam, which is held online by the University of Waterloo. However, no data available for 2020 and 2021 since the exam was canceled due to COVID 19.

In 2020–21, students from Ozel Ege Lisesi attended the CIMC and CSMC contests, which are held online by the CEMC, which is known as Canada’s most recognized organization for promoting and creating activities for mathematics and computer science at the University of Waterloo. Within the CIMC group (Grade 10 and 11), 6 students made the honor roll for scoring in the top 25th percent of all participants internationally. Also, 1 student was awarded a medal. In the CSMC group (Grade 11 and 12), 1 student made the honor roll for scoring in the top 25th percentile.  Also, 1 student was awarded a medal.

In 2020, students from Ozel Ege Lisesi attended Pascal (Grade 9), Cayley (Grade 10), and Fermat (Grade 11) contests which are held online by the CEMC. Within the Pascal group, 6 students made the honor roll for scoring in the top 25th percent of all participants internationally. Besides, 1 student scored in the top 25 percentile and was awarded a certificate of distinction and included in the student honor roll in the International Schools category.

Within the Cayley group, 4 students made the honor roll for scoring in the top 25th percent of all participants internationally. 

Within the Fermat group, 4 students made the honor roll for scoring in the top 25th percent of all participants internationally. Also, 1 student scored in the top 25 percentile and was awarded a certificate of distinction and included in the student honor roll in the International schools’ category.
