Ozel Ege Lisesi, the third member in Turkey and the first member of the College Board in İzmir in the 2013-2014 Academic Year, introduced Advanced Placement (AP) courses and exams in 2013. The subjects offered in grades 9 – 12 in a range of subjects include AP Calculus AB, AP Physics 1, AP Physics C: Mechanics, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, AP Computer Science A, AP English Language and Composition, AP German Language and Culture, AP French Language and Culture. Taught in English, AP courses are also recognized as elective courses by the Turkish Ministry of Education and appear in our students’ transcripts. In May 2020 a total of 17 students entered the AP exams in 6 subjects (21 exams). Of those students tested, 58.82 % received scores of 3 or above. The scores for 2021 AP Exams haven’t been released yet.

By offering 25 AP lessons our school will implement the AP Capstone diploma program in the 2020-2021 academic year which offers our students a double degree option that enables them to be privileged from other students in their applications to universities abroad. More than 1,000 schools in the United States and about 1100 schools in other countries are implementing the AP Capstone diploma program.

With this diploma program, our students develop critical thinking, research, group work, time management and presentation skills they will need throughout their university life. AP Capstone program also exempted from these courses to students from both universities will receive training abroad in Turkey, offers the opportunity to receive credit completion and acceptance of the scholarship. The following AP courses will be offered at our school in the 2021 academic year:
