Middle School
Academic Achievement Approach
In our academic approach, we view students’ social, cultural, and academic development as a whole. Through academic monitoring systems beginning in middle school, we closely follow our students’ progress and aim to prepare them for high school with a strong academic foundation. To support this goal, we provide a rich academic structure complemented by arts and sports.
Social and Cultural Activities
We offer learning environments that support cognitive, emotional, and physical development. Students may participate in more than 30 activity branches, including drama, chess, swimming, basketball, blogging, web design, photography, math olympiads, science olympiads, debate, and LEGO robotics.
We believe social responsibility is as important as personal and academic development. Students participate in collaborations with NGOs, helping them develop social awareness and responsibility.
Reading Literary Works
For many years, students have read two literary works each term—one in Turkish and one in English. They present these works both in written and oral form. This practice supports public speaking, responsibility, time management, and confidence. Our school library, with approximately 76,000 books, enriches this process.
Annual Project System
Annual projects begin in Grade 4 and continue through middle school. Students choose topics based on interest and work collaboratively. Projects are presented both in written and oral form, and selected projects are published in the Özel Ege Project Book each year.
Science in Middle School
The “Interclass Science Project Competition” includes Grades 4 and 5, with awards in environment, energy, creativity, technology, and design. Projects are evaluated by a jury of teachers and academics. Upper-grade students continue with TÜBİTAK projects and Science Board work.
Sports in Middle School
Students have access to the sports palace, indoor/outdoor fields, and a semi-Olympic swimming pool. They train in basketball, volleyball, swimming, athletics, table tennis, tennis, gymnastics, orienteering, cycling, climbing, pentathlon, and triathlon.
Every year, 34 school teams and 380 licensed athletes represent our school in district, city, and national competitions.
