Guidance and Counseling Services
In our guidance practices, our main goal is to help all our students gain self-awareness, develop problem-solving skills, easily adapt to their environment, strengthen their communication skills, build sensitivity toward differences, and develop effective coping strategies in challenging situations. Our department supports our students in cognitive, emotional, academic, and behavioral dimensions while continuously carrying out its current programs.
Student-Oriented Services
Student Appraisal Studies: These are activities conducted by taking individual differences into account to assess our students' personality traits, psycho-social development, talents, interests, and academic progress. Newly enrolled high school students get the opportunity to familiarize themselves with and adapt to the school environment through the "orientation" programs planned by the guidance department.
Classroom Guidance Activities: Age-appropriate classroom guidance sessions are conducted to raise awareness among students and support their overall development. Throughout the year, students meet with their guidance counselors on various topics:
• Efficient Study Techniques and Time Management
• Introduction to the Examination System
• Goal Setting
• The Path to Success & Motivation
• Guidance First Aid Studies (PİY)
• Career Choice
• Course Selection
• Test-Taking Techniques
• Coping Skills for Exam Anxiety
• Exam Strategies
Academic Achievement Monitoring: These studies aim to support students in setting personal goals, planning and managing time, maintaining motivation, enhancing focus and concentration, and preparing for examinations. Activities in this scope are implemented through motivation meetings with the student and family, alongside evaluations of exam results.
Career Development Services: These initiatives are designed to guide our students through their career development by helping them discover themselves, identify their strengths, explore professions, and formulate career goals. To this end, various events are organized throughout the year with student participation:
• University Day
• Seminar Classes with Industry Professionals
• University Visits
• Alumni Gatherings
• Job Shadowing Program
Community Service Activities: Through community service projects conducted throughout their high school education, our students develop social responsibility and empathy skills. We encourage these activities to foster a sense of civic duty and social awareness, preparing our students to lead within their communities.
Parent-Oriented Services
Individual Parent Meetings: We conduct individual parent meetings to monitor and evaluate our students' development. Beyond routine monitoring meetings, we also meet with our parents at regular intervals to discuss specific topics.
Parents' Academy (Anne Baba Okulu): Every year, we regularly bring together experts in their respective fields with our parents. Topics such as communication, developmental characteristics, thinking skills, and boundaries form the main framework of this program. Topics are selected by taking into account the essential needs of family members.
