Guidance for Transition from Middle School to High School
At Özel Ege Schools, preparation for the national exam during the transition from middle school to high school begins in the 5th grade and continues with academic monitoring studies in the 6th grade. Across all grade groups, we carry out our work within the scope of the "Academic Achievement Monitoring System (ABİS)" to increase our students' academic success and determine their needs. We support our students' academic progress through academic tracking efforts conducted as a result of the "Topic Achievement Tests" and "Topic Screening Tests" we administer. Within the framework of educational guidance, we conduct individual meetings with our students and parents in line with inventories applied during the term and evaluations by our teachers.
Common Examination Practice
Common exams, administered twice a semester and four times a year, are a practice that starts in the 4th grade of primary school and continues until the 12th grade of high school. Thanks to the report card analyses provided at the end of each exam in this application, our students have the opportunity to identify and make up for missing topics.
Summer Period and Weekend Courses for National Exam Preparation
National exam preparation gains momentum with summer courses starting in the 7th grade, and weekend courses for all subjects that serve as the basis for this exam continue in the 8th grade. In the 8th grade, original practice exams from various institutional publications matching the national exam format are administered. During these practices, class teachers and advisor teachers monitor our students. Following the practice exams, our advisor teachers evaluate the exam results individually with our students and track their study routines to boost academic success.
In addition to academic guidance and tracking, we conduct individual student and parent meetings with our middle school students. In these meetings, we aim to enable our students to cope with anxiety they may encounter in daily life and during exams. Along with individual meetings, classroom guidance lessons are conducted by our guidance department; throughout this process, we always stand by our students through close monitoring and individual support in collaboration with class teachers and advisor teachers.
